Whether you're visiting Chiang Mai as a tourist or a local, this café provides a delightful experience that promises to satisfy your cravings for comfort food, fresh ingredients, and an inviting atmosphere.

The café is best known for its relaxed, homey vibe. Stepping into Magnolia Café, you're immediately greeted by warm décor, a friendly staff, and a menu that features a variety of dishes that cater to both traditional Thai preferences and global tastes. One of the highlights of the café is its focus on fresh ingredients, which they source locally to ensure that every dish is packed with vibrant flavors.

For breakfast lovers, the café offers a delicious range of options, from classic Western-style pancakes and omelets to traditional Thai dishes like khao soi and pad thai. The quality of the ingredients shines through, with dishes prepared to perfection and presented beautifully. The coffee, too, stands out as one of the finest in Chiang Mai, with freshly brewed beans sourced from local coffee plantations. Many customers rave about the rich, aromatic flavor that pairs perfectly with the café's pastries.

  • Wonderful cafe! We found it on Michlen star list. Everything except watermelon appetizer was so good! The duck, soup, some other appetizer from Noth Thai cuisine. Sophisticated experience! Many thanks to the team and chef!

  • Nov2025. We came here for our first meal in Chiang Mai. Started with appetizer, it was tune with pineapple cube. The first dish was the signature watermelon salmon flake. Tom kha which the seafood coconut soup, it was nice.

  • My friends and I decided to visit this restaurant on our last night in Chiang Mai. We had been enjoying the local street food for the past few days, but we felt a bit tired of the bustle and wanted to have a more relaxed, refined meal. So I searched online and stumbled across this place. Magnolia Cafe was an extremely suitable place for us. The Michelin ranking is well deserved, as both the restaurant’s staff and the decor make you feel very well taken care of. The food is excellent and reflects a healthy balance of creativity (watermelon cubes with salmon!) and authenticity. Everything we had was cooked to perfection, and the prices were extremely affordable. A restaurant of this stature and quality could easily charge more, and it would be well justified in doing so. We even got complimentary canapés and desserts - totally unexpected and very well crafted. Do visit Cafe Magnolia if you have the chance, it will be worth it!

  • We went for dinner without reservation, fortunately server helped to arrange a table at the room of the back side which is very exclusive and nicely decorated. I have no ideas that it was a Michelin restaurant but the signage posted on the entrance really impressive. We ordered the following, Watermelon cubes with crispy fried salmon floss, it's very common now in Chiangmai, salmon floss taste rich. Penang Curry, mildly spicy and with a hint of nutty flavor, however the chicken didn't taste much. Fried Mackerel with Nam Jim seafood , the fish fillet is fried to crisp, taste fresh but a little salty. Grilled Pork Neck with Nam Jim Jew, the most tender pork neck I've ever taste, the meat is very tender and slightly pink in color, thank you for server's recommendation. They offered complimentary welcome canapes, which was a tiny meat ball on pineapple. Also complimentary dessert, gluey pandan coconut cream per guest. But I still ordered durian sticky rice which is too tempting. The medium soft durian laid on a bath of warm coconut milk and sticky rice which was a perfect finish of our dinner. Servers were all very polite and attentive, you will not listen to anyone talking around you. The whole restaurant full of collections of glasses and pottery wares and plated which are hand made. It's enjoyable for eating and appreciating those beautiful items. Thank you for such a good dinner.

  • Thank you for letting us experience the best Thai homemade food we have ever tasted. Every dish was exquisite: fresh, creative, and full of joy. The waitress was absolutely extraordinary: warm, attentive, and genuinely loving. Food, service, and ambiance were all a perfect 10/10. An unforgettable experience that we would recommend without hesitation.
